Hundreds of different diets out there and they are there literally offering to improve your health. It may be weight loss fat diminisher program , reduction of risk factors for chronic disease or a diet anti-aging to make you live longer and better, wrinkle-free.

Below you will find some of the most popular diets, and my scores for each grade.

Atkins Diet
Coined the same name as the cardiologist noted, Robert Atkins, this diet is a low diet that can certainly be helpful for some people. This is considered a diet "ketogenic" Why force the body to burn stored body fat as a fuel source instead of sugar in the blood.

Ketones are formed from the oxidation of fatty acids. This can only be achieved if you reduce your carbohydrate intake to no more than 20 grams per day. Carbohydrates may only be plant. The rest of their diet comes from protein and fat with no more than 20% of calories from saturated fat.

Additional foods rich in vegetable fibers may be added over time. People who are intolerant to carbohydrates can do well in this short-term program. Low carb diets can be difficult to sustain and overconfidence in animal fats can cause obvious problems.

Rating: I give this diet a C +.

The zone diet

This is a balanced diet of carbohydrates, proteins and fats. This particular diet is designed to control blood sugar and high insulin levels. Low glycemic carbohydrate consumption are encouraged (fruits, whole grains and vegetables), omega 9 fat nuts, olive oil, avocado and omega 3 fish. The diet does not allow refined carbohydrates, sugar and fruit juices. Meals are four to five hours apart, but you can have a snack in the middle, if you're hungry. Personally, I like this diet because there is no amount of calories. Not only that, but this is balanced from a nutritional point of view.

Vegan diet

Vegans eat only plant kingdom foods. Although most are ovo-lacto (which means that you can still eat dairy, eggs and honey) Sometimes this type of vegetarian chooses to eat fish. The diet may be beneficial to reduce the risk of coronary heart disease and weight loss, too. Yes, this diet is low in calories, but also rich in fiber and nutrients. It is also considered to be lower in fat and Tran’s fat.

You have to be careful, because even protein sources should be combined to obtain the most complete protein, especially if you will not eat soy much. Moreover, essential nutrients, such as iron, vitamin B12, vitamin D and zinc may be lower in vegans, if they are not taking supplements.

In general, the diet may be a little high in carbohydrates and sugar, too. Although flaxseed is an important source of fat, omega 3, fish are much the best source. I am also concerned regarding the intake of omega 6 fatty acids Omega 3 fat fats verses vegan diet. If you pay attention to detail, this can be a good diet for most people. However, this diet requires discipline, so people often cannot endure.

South Beach Diet

This is a diet that focuses primarily on the quality of food that incorporates the right kind of carbohydrates, such as vegetables and whole grains, but also allows lean proteins such as fish, poultry, lean meats, seafood, and low in fat cheese, nuts, and seeds.

The diet consists of three meals and several snacks. The first phase can be used when you need to lose weight, limiting carbohydrates. Later, in the second phase, you can add carbohydrates like whole grains and fruit products. The third phase is a maintenance phase to keep the weight under control. This diet is good for those who want to lose weight or reduce the risk of chronic diseases. It is flexible and sustainable.

There are a lot of recent research showing the greatness of this diet. I have to put this at the top of my list, simply because what really qualifies absolutely everyone. If you want to live longer and without the disease, this is the diet that can potentially do it for you. It incorporates the right kind of carbohydrates with high quality protein such as fish, poultry, Greek yogurt, seafood and good fats from nuts, seeds, avocados and extra virgin olive oil.

When combined these basic foods also with red wine and spices such as hummus, goat cheese and balsamic vinegar, it has a kitchen that knows very well and has an excellent nutritional profile.

This diet leads to each other in almost all health categories, including its effect on longevity. The best part is that this diet is sustainable and becomes a great way of life. And there is no calorie counting, that's one thing I really like it. You have the chance to enjoy good food is really healthy and balanced.
